I have over 20 years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy to a diverse range of people and groups. I offer sessions in South Melbourne and am committed to offering authentic, respectful and compassionate psychotherapy and relationship counselling to people from all walks of life.
I moved into psychotherapy after spending time in Australian indigenous communities. Whilst being immersed in their art and culture, I felt a strong desire to alleviate suffering and injustice. At the time I was an art dealer working exclusively with talented indigenous artists and witnessed their exploitation. How could I be of service? This question set me on a personal and professional path of inquiry and a subsequent career move.
I am often asked how I work as a therapist. My answer to this is that I do not follow just one model of working but rather incorporate skills and techniques from the many trainings and traditions I have studied. Each one of us has a unique process and I adopt the 'beginners mind' approach and look for what is trying to emerge, rather than adhere to a particular theory.
